SRINAGAR : The Faculty Schooling Division Tuesday sought listing of all non-public colleges performing from authorities land and ordered its administration to compulsorily admit 25 % of scholars from weaker part from their catchment areas.
Director of Faculty Schooling Kashmir (DSEK), in a communique to Chief Schooling Officers (CEOs) of the area has requested to implement the free and obligatory schooling to kids from weaker and deprived sections by non-public unaided colleges underneath part 12 (1) C of RTE Act 2009.
DSEK mentioned that RTE, Act Part 12 (1) C envisages that each one non-public unaided colleges have the duty to dispense and supply free schooling to kids from weaker and deprived sections and admit a minimum of one-fourth that’s 25 % of the overall power of class-I or pre-school schooling.
It additional mentioned, “All these non-public colleges that are performing on state land shall compulsorily admit the 25 % of scholars from weaker part of their catchment space by correctly publicizing the admission.”
The director of the area on this regard has requested all of the CEOs to instantly furnish the listing of all Personal Faculties performing on the state land instantly.
Pertinently, the part 12 (1) (c) of the RTE Act, 2009 fixes the duty of personal unaided colleges to supply free and obligatory schooling to kids from weaker and deprived sections by admitting a minimum of one- fourth of the overall power of sophistication I or pre-school schooling—(KNO)
